It does what it claims as far as blocking direct sunlight, we can see out it, but on porch you dont see straight in. Only downside is measuring it as no lines to guide , and trying to get bubbles out was tough, and I hang wallpaper easily. Other than that frustration, it is very well made, I suggest using paper towel as smoothing so you dont have a hundred finger prints. Great price, wish it came in different widths to minimize waste..
