Nice piece, but it's really more of an institutional item and assumes that you are replacing an existing urinal or have framing in place to accommodate an install. Installing this in a dry-walled garage, for instance, will take some doing including cutting away drywall and add 2x4 supports. We installed a similar Duravit toilet in our first phase of renovation and think it looks really sharp. We invested in the one where the plumbing profile is hidden at the base as it was in a more visible space. Will be installing this one soon. Installation was a bit tricky as this was the first custom shower drain I have installed but I was able to figure it out. Once installed this drain is awesome. The large water collection area prevents any kind of pooling and has a luxurious feel about it. Wish I could have installed this myself, but alas, I watched from the sidelines as my tiler and plumber experts worked in tandem over a few days with the drain and eventually the final product/install. Trying to stay out of the expert’s way, I can now truly appreciate this upgraded elegant look. This was certainly an upgrade from our “plain drain” that we had lived with since we bought our house. This RainDrain easily captures the flow of water but also easily captures my spouse’s long strands of hair. It easily matched our other fixtures.
