This hardware kit is awesome. I previously had bypass sliding doors inside the frame opening and they were a pain. The doors are NOT included with this kit and be sure of the type of hardware you need. There is a kit for bypass barn doors and this kit for standard doors to meet in the middle and not bypass. I used two 24 inch doors for my closet opening as it was only 47.75 inches wide and this 96 inch standard barn door kit. I did have to put a header board above the door frame as I wanted the door frame left up. The bypass option is made available on one track. It is never an easy job to install a double-track bypass kit. Sometimes the clearance you have is not enough, sometimes the gap between the two doors is too large, and sometimes it just feels frustrating to put all the pieces together. Now, with our single-track bypass option, installing a bypass kit has never been easier. You can just follow the steps for a standard double-door kit and replace the regular hangers with the bending ones.

Directions indicate exact bracket location of 4 inches inside the door edge but that makes the overlapping amount of the doors 8 inches more when it already overlaps a fair distance so I had to change the location of the bracket to the very edge of the door to gain 8 more inches and because there was still overlapping with this type of system the doors still fell short of covering the 6 foot wide closet opening . I used some trim to cover the holes I first made as per the directions. Better instructions would be nice. The hardware is good quality - very heavy metal rail and brackets.. The LAZ standard single sliding Barn Door Kit appears to be great quality. I haven't installed it yet because I'm not ready. The installation instructions are very clear and it should be easy peasy.
