I think the pan should be a bit heavier on the edges, at least in spots where shims may be needed. The pan instructions talk about using a mortar bed. Maybe in 1950! Very nice shower, shipping took a while as it came from the US. My husband and I put it together. Took a while for just the two of us to figure it out. The instructions are not the best as the measurements are confusing for the placement of the acrylic panels. We learned this after we had them glued in place. kit# 2 luxury shower surrounds for the DIY enthusiast in pre-cut kits for common shower wall sizes. These panels are lightweight, easy to carry, cut, and fabricate. Cutting can be done with a skill saw, angle grinder, jigsaw, etc. To fabricate you can use a Dremel tool, mitre, etc. We suggest using Loctite power grab ultimate adhesive or boss 125 adhesive to adhere panels to the walls but compatibility to the other substrates might need testing. We suggest using 100% clear silicone to glue the trim to the panels. We suggest applying the adhesive to the panel, applying circle blobs of caulking about 6”-8” apart throughout the sheet. We also suggest applying 100% silicone, about a ¼” continuous bead around the panel outside edges to ensure a good edge seal and prevent moisture or debris from getting behind the panel.
