This sputnik/linear chandelier features a cutting-edge design and is great to update your dining room, kitchen island, living room, and so on. Black and plated brass exudes sophistication and elegance, making it a centerpiece in any room with modern, farmhouse, or industrial style. Leaf-like meal shades add a touch of nature-inspired design to the overall aesthetic, while the linear branches further reinforce this natural element, making the light fixture seem to grow organically from the ceiling.
This light fixture is really interesting and beautiful. It arrived quickly, was easy to put together, and installed without incident in about 15 minutes, needing only one person for the installation. Mine is on a dimmer and it dims flawlessly.
I am using it in my transitional style kitchen as the main source of light for the room, and it is plenty bright enough using 8 60w led equivalent candelabra base bulbs. The light itself has black shades that are metallic gold on the inside. The gold does cause the light emitted to be on the warm to very warm side color wise, even though I'm using 3000k bulbs. I did feel the need to change the bulbs in a nearby fixture to warmer ones so the difference wouldn't be so jarring.
Things to know when deciding on this chandelier:
1. The height for this chandelier is adjustable only in 12" increments. The extension rods included were all 12 inches long, and with the lights canopies pointed out strait, not tilted, the fixture is about 5" high, so I could either hang it at 17" (to the bottom of the fixture) using one rod, or 29 inches using two rods, etc. There are no rods shorter than 12" included.
2. In the item description, the dimensions of the fixture state that it is 47.2"x47.2", leading me to believe that the fixture would be a full circle when viewed from below. It looks that way in the pictures, also. In fact, the fixture is elliptical in shape, with the long side measuring 47.2", and the perpendicular side measuring only about 36" (this is where it loses one star for me, though nothing is wrong with the fixture). If you absolutely need a round light fixture this isn't going to be the one. It works for me as is, so I am keeping it.
If all of this works for you, you are going to really like this, and get ready for compliments on it because you'll be getting some!. Susan. Alpharetta, GA. Wed Mar 19 2025
