Our naturally weathered, reclaimed wood planks are milled from recycled Wyoming snow fences. Common uses are for wall panelling, ceiling panelling, and barn doors. Each box contains 20 square feet of 1/4-inch-thick planks with 1 ft, 2 ft, 3 ft, and 4 ft-long boards to easily create staggered seams. The planks have square edges and are installed using construction adhesive and nails (purchase nails and adhesive locally; not included). Certified GreenGuard Gold, our wood is safer than barn wood for indoor use. Since this reclaimed wood was aged naturally, year-round, by the brutal winds and winter weather of Wyoming, it has a low moisture content and is naturally insect-free. Additionally, Centennial Woods’ reclaimed boards are actually a carbon-negative product since they don’t need to go through the energy-intensive process of kiln drying. These distressed boards are the real deal and contain knots, knot holes, cracks, and nail holes. Some may even have bullet holes, deep grooves exposing grain patterns, and scrapes or abrasions. These imperfections are part of the charm of this wood and are to be celebrated during your project’s installation. Your order will be shipped from Laramie, WY, located in the dry, high plains (elevation 7,220 feet above sea level) of the Rocky Mountains. Before installation, the boards must acclimate to the room in which they will be installed. Remove the bundle of boards from the box but leave the straps affixed and acclimate boards for at least 2 days in drier climates. Acclimate boards for up to 5 days if they are installed in a humid, low-altitude, coastal environment. These boards need to be applied to a dry, flat surface like drywall. After you unbundle your boards, they may cup or warp; this is normal, and the boards will lie flat on your installation surface once glued and nailed.

Ordered the color ‘Sundance Whitewash’. Great quality. Very distressed and textured wood. Every piece is unique. Had it installed in a herringbone pattern. Only 2 things to watch out for is every plank had a curve to it, so nails were required to make it flat to the wall as glue was not enough on its own the planks were in differing lengths, some long some short..
