More of a green gray. However, I read that in other reviews so I was aware. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Easy to put together (instructions and legs are in the zippered pocket). Don't push hard on the screw leg or you will have to cut the black backing, fish out the female screw, and staple the black backing together. Yes, we did that but it turned out fine in the end. Sits about 10" from the wall at the base (while in the seated couch position), you need to move it about 6" further from the wall while flat, I measured 41"x70"(approx), 6"(mattress thickness).
