I’m quite impressed with this piece of furniture. It’s turned out better than I expected. It’s large and heavy so a second person is needed to move it around. Remarkably there are hand holds built into the back at both ends. The shelves in the three cabinet sections are adjustable but only for about 4” in the centre. If you want more you’ll have to drill more holes. The shelf mounting hardware fastens to the under side of each shelf so once the shelf is in place and the screws are applied to the mounts there is no moving the shelf. The drawers are a good size and well built with dovetailed joints. The description mentions soft closing drawers but I’d suggest the action is more like a final indent or latching. The drawers will not self roll open if pushed past the latching stop. The finish is darker than the pictures show. It’s smooth and the stain is even and only has a slight amount of distressing. There is an attractive choice of veneers used. I was pleased with the amount of packing which totally protects the unit during shipping. I filled up 4 large garden paper compost bags with all the cardboard recyclables not counting the external box and base stiffening. The 6 mushroom feet and 1 centre post are packed separately and are positioned on top of the centre shelf.
