The bypass option is made available on one track. It is never an easy job to install a double-track bypass kit. Sometimes the clearance you have is not enough, sometimes the gap between the two doors is too large, and sometimes it just feels frustrating to put all the pieces together. Now, with our single-track bypass option, installing a bypass kit has never been easier. You can just follow the steps for a standard double-door kit and replace the regular hangers with the bending ones.

Directions indicate exact bracket location of 4 inches inside the door edge but that makes the overlapping amount of the doors 8 inches more when it already overlaps a fair distance so I had to change the location of the bracket to the very edge of the door to gain 8 more inches and because there was still overlapping with this type of system the doors still fell short of covering the 6 foot wide closet opening . I used some trim to cover the holes I first made as per the directions. Better instructions would be nice. The hardware is good quality - very heavy metal rail and brackets.. The package includes all the barn door and barn door hardware kit you need to install a sliding barn door. The barn door hardware kit can be used both inside and outside. This door requires two people to assemble, it is not a traditional one-piece barn door. Pilot holes on the door are all pre-drilled and cut. The wooden panels can junction with each other for a tight fit. It is an unfinished barn door, you can easily paint it as you wish. Please leave the door dry for at least 24 hours. The barn door will work perfectly with our sliding barn door hardware kit and door handles. The bottom of the door had a pre-cut groove to fit with the floor guide that prevented the door from swinging back and forth.

• You will need two 28" wide doors.
• Premium black rustic carbon steel, heavy-duty, total door(s) weight up to 220 lbs. High-quality nylon wheels ensure minimal noise.
• You need to have at least 6" of space between the top of the door to the ceiling to accommodate the hardware.

Really like the doors. A full barn door wouldn’t work for our space so the bypass was a great option. They are heavy and good quality. We opted not to put the sticky black strips as I preferred the look of the 5 pane per door. The only reason giving it 4 stars is the assembly.
