Assembly took ~6 person hours with a couple of mistakes that required taking some pieces apart and reassembling. Multiple pieces were not labeled with numbers and the instructions were somewhat difficult to follow. This piece is very sturdy but note that it weighs ~240 lbs in total. Converting it from a cabinet to a bed is definitely a 2 person operation as the top is quite heavy. A 6" trifold mattress just barely fits - it makes it hard to use the latch and puts pressure on the front panel such that it slightly bends outwards. This is stellar! My husband and I took our time putting this together, we wanted to make sure it turned out really well. We split it up into 2 days, also if you have two drills, itll probably be quicker lol. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. I do recommend having a second person around, some of the pieces are bigger and you just need an extra set of hands. One reviewer mentioned building it in the room its supposed to go in, and I second that notion. Its a great bed, and sturdy. I love this thing and it doesnt take up too much space. This furniture…. My gosh, took two people 9 hours to build. The wood is VERY fragile- cracks very easily. One of the drawers had the track on backwards- weve removed and installed it correctly. The pictures are very hard to follow. Anticipate spending an entire day building it. We got the white model- some of the wood has scratch marks- i need to see if it can be cleaned with a magic eraser or something, i dont anticipate this unit lasting more than a year or two unfortunately. Only 4 stars because it was a great value, otherwise it’d be 3. I am a fairly talented handyman and it took me 12 hours to assemble which I knew it would be long but not quite that much. The panels that make the front are ok but not great; definitely not a fine piece of furniture but decent for the price. Very nice bed once you get it put together. It took me and my husband 2 days to put it together. There were parts left over so we worried that we might have missed some steps. This unit was exactly what I needed for the space. I was worried that the wood color would be too yellow, but its not, its a neutral beige and doesnt clash with the flooring.
