As lovely as a dangling blossom that calls to mind a balmy evening, the Midsummer Pendant blooms with artistry. A wrought iron frame that tapers from a clean-lined rod to thin tendrils as it graduates toward the bottom dangles curved petals made of recycled glass. The green and amber pieces retain the original colours of the beverage bottles from which they were taken. Because this fixture is artisanal, the configuration of the glass colours will vary slightly, which makes each green and gold pendant unique.

Sustainable materials and modern natural style were the inspirations for the Tetterby semi-flush mount. Designed by Tom Caldwell, this semi-flush mount is made from natural bamboo in a light taupe finish for a whitewashed effect. The Charrette Lantern is a thing of beauty given that the rattan reeds that form it are so perfectly placed and the knots of the same material are so artful. Wrapping and tying so uniformly is a painstaking process that makes this rattan lantern a true artisanal piece. The colour of the natural material is very in sync with the saddle tan finish on the wrought iron frame and hardware.

New to the Marjorie Skouras Collection, the Tijereta White Chandelier pays homage to the Fork-tailed Flycatcher, a nimble bird with an elegant scissor tail. This is one more creation that illustrates Skouras's ability to translate the natural world of the Yucatan Peninsula into beautiful design elements. The circular chandelier seems to float, as birds do, given it is hanging from aircraft cable.

Resembling celestial bodies in the sky, the sparkling Astraia chandelier suspends elegantly from the architecture of a room. Swooping in different directions, the delicate Vintage Brass stems create an evenly scattered composition with 6 or 9 Remolino Blanco glass globes. The choice between multiple stem sizes results in a bespoke appearance with a more tightly arched or rounded silhouette. The swirling effect of the handblown glass complements the fixture, emphasizing its artisanal nature.

Perfectly pear-shaped, the Endymion Chandelier has a wire cage made of wrought iron in an aged steel finish from which undulant leaves in a brass finish flow upwards. The narrowing metal ornamentations reflect the light that glows from within a central white glass globe. Creating fluid designs from resolute metal to bring the feel of nature indoors is a fascination our designers continue to explore.

The Nottaway Linear Gold Chandelier has long arms that stretch gracefully from a small cog and a ring that ornaments its bottom-most point. The profile of the fixture has a lovely fluidity to it, and the contemporary gold leaf finish adds textural interest to the gold chandelier. The fact that the chandelier is hung from a rod rather than a chain modernizes this design, though it is still decidedly in the traditional design vernacular. Its shape makes it perfect for above kitchen islands and bars.

The Cocoon pendant was inspired by a butterfly in chrysalis but it is meant for grander-scaled duties as a light fixture. The white pendant has a wrought iron frame covered in a vanilla finish that is beautifully wrapped in Kraft paper twine in a cream finish. The skill and patience required to create such an even flow of string makes this an artisanal piece.

The Mantra Semi-Flush Mount is an elegant example of mid-century modern luxe. The gold leaf finish on the long tentacles of metal that dangle from its two tiers bring the fixture a powerful punch of patina. This is due to the distressing the finish artisans achieved with the gold leaf treatment on the chandelier. A shrewd design detail is how the rods of metal are affixed with small hooks, each of which has to be hand-welded to the circular frames of the gold semi-flush.

The Saxon Small Black Chandelier is one of our most graceful chandeliers with arms that fluidly stretch outward. Its shape and the Zanzibar black finish are nods to a bygone era, but its arcing slender lines make its profile modern.
