The top of the computer desk has some scratches and the trim piece that goes on the front was very poorly finished. There was excess glue on the front of the door and I’m not sure how to remove it without damaging the finish. The front piece of the keyboard had a large chip out of it which I assume was done at the factory because the box did not have any visible damage to it. It looks like it was dropped on a hard surface. Is there a cherry coloured repair tool available for the scratches? I’ve contacted Sauder and they are sending a replacement part for the keyboard tray.. James. . 2024-12-09 14:53:07

Very disappointed with Wayfairs assembly contractor Angi. But appreciate Wayfair stepping up to compensate for the poor - no, dismal - service (lack of service) by Angi. Short version I ordered a Clintonville Executive Desk in May, and purchased the assembly service. I would not have purchased such a large desk without the assembly service. Angi scheduled - and canceled - the appointment 5 times! Each time giving me only 30 minutes advance notice. Without a desk to work at, I have had to make do with boxes for my computer, etc.. Every time the tech is scheduled to come, Ive had to unplug my computer, printer, etc., to make space for the desk assembly. Then, when they dont show up, back up go the boxes, reconnecting the computer, etc.. 5 times!! Needless to say, not a happy camper. Called Wayfair customer service. They refunded my assembly costs and waived an additional charge. Wayfair gets a 5-star rating for stepping up. Angi gets a big fat Zero (0). Thus an overall rating of 3-stars. I am really happy with this desk. Its very heavy and well made. It arrived in good shape with no damage at all. Just one little plastic piece looks like it wasnt manufactured correctly but I used it still and hope it holds ok. The assembly instructions are clear as long as you read them carefully. I had help from a friend and it took us approximately 4.5hrs as we went slowly and carefully and then had a lot of issues with attaching the door. Its actually still a bit wonky -I need to try to fix it still. Its a perfect size for all my monitors and a giant printer and the drawers and cabinet have lots of room. Like the other reviews said, lots of parts but easy assembly. It’s a solid piece of furniture but still has a classy look for a desk. My only wish is that it was 4 drawers instead of the two deep ones. Makes it hard to organize things. My big office chair even fits. ( think I need a new one! I did get two baskets for the bottom shelves to help organize the office supplies. I’ve no regrets on ordering. Would have given 5 stars but the shipping was way overdue from the date they told me. For weeks it showed no movement when I checked tracking. I finally phoned and after an hour on hold (not exaggerating) I got through. Desk showed up a few days after that.
