I ordered 2 and they are exactly what I expected and needed! The color is white but it's not solid white. It's more of a heavily white-washed pine that looks white from a distance (Wayfair site photos are accurate). The bookcase is tall, but I was able to assemble by myself. The package of screws/dowels are daunting, but the instructions are clear, just go step by step and realize there are left/right sides. The kit also comes with connectors so that you can sturdily connect two bookcases together (although you will have to drill the holes yourself). There is a mounting bracket to the back wall that works perfectly - even though this is a tall piece it does not wobble in the least. I would definitely buy another and highly recommend. We only have an 8-foot ceiling in our finished basement, so I was concerned about the height, but they fit perfectly (just above crown and 2 inches below ceiling).
