The unpolished egg and dart door knobs are solid brass but they are not unpolished brass but coated in a color less yellow then original brass. They will never tarnish because they are coated. Also the moulded print on them looks like the one poor picture they show of a silver knob not like the more defined look of the other photos. The knobs are quite shinny and bling looking and from a distance look good if you are looking for something showy like this. I was looking for something more old world and understated so these are not for me but might be perfect for someone else. They feel good and weighty in your hand.. Brenda.
