I think it's a huge risk buying an item for which there aren't any reviews, especially ones with pictures. However, in this case, the risk paid off - and we found something that fits our needs. However, it might not be the right fit for everyone. I'll give you the good, the bad, and the ugly. First, the good: obviously, it looks amazing. Absolutely an A+ for the design aesthetic. We needed something to store beauty and skin products, and with the theme of the room being "beauty", this definitely hits the mark. The doors have soft-close hinges, really high quality hinges that will make the piece more durable over the long run. It was shipped (in 4 separate boxes) in enough packaging to prevent damage, and all the parts were there. Now, the bad: although the pedestal legs are cute, the cabinets have a high center of gravity, and tend to wobble. I've never purchased furniture that included an anti-tip strap and though it was needed, until now. Expect to use the anti-tip straps included with these cabinets. Now, you won't pull the cabinet down or anything with regular use, but it might wiggle just enough for an item inside the cabinet to fall over. I will also say that although this item includes 4 separate cabinets, and you can theoretically stand each one independently in a different location, you shouldn't do that. They are much more stable (less wobble) when pushed together, like in the picture. Finally, here's the ugly: we always purchase the Wayfair/Angie assembly, but strangely, the assembly price was absurdly low for this item. It just had to be wrong. And sure enough, the assembly guy showed up thinking he had 1 cabinet to build, and there are actually 4. We had to pay him to build the other 3. Wayfair needs to fix the assembly price, because it's clearly wrong when the cheapest assembly for any item on Wayfair is a nearly 8 foot wall of cabinets that takes a really, really good handyman 3 hours to put together. In conclusion, we love this and it was perfect for us. But, if you aren't used to treating nice things gingerly (and yank open the doors), you shouldn't buy cabinets with pedestal legs. Likewise, unruly kids or crazy pets should make you look elsewhere. If you're a household of adults, though, these are a great option.. Michael. Portland, OR. Wed Jan 08 2025
