Absolutely the best dog bed ever!! Solid memory foam is the key and worth the extra cost because of the high quality and longevity of it. It’s not easy to find as lots of companies claim memory foam but when you look further it ends up being cheap egg crate foam with maybe a thin memory foam topper. My large Bernedoodle took to it right away and loves the bolsters and rests his head on it. The 44” size is perfect for him as well. Bed is VERY comfortable. My 80 lb black lab loves his new bed and the support the bolsters provide for his head while he sleeps. 3 stars because although the bed is comfy it does not clean well. It's hard to get the dog hair to vacuum off the linen bolster sides, and because it doesn't come in a darker colour, our black lab's hair is very noticeable. And although the bed is "washable" like the description says... what it fails to tell you is that it doesn't dry. We removed the "egg carton" foam pad from the base, however the chunky foam pieces of foam that fill the bottom channels of the bed portion have yet to completely dry, after 2 rounds on "heavy duty" in the dryer and 3 days laying outside in the sun and wind.
