Love this island, but BEWARE, the counter top scratches SO easily. Literally even dust scratches it. Im so sad. It was ruined within the first week, and we barely use it. Overall the island looks good from afar, but for $800 I expected better quality. There are 3 holes in the back that are part of the manufacturing so you can’t get rid of them. Removal of the stickers removes the paint. The granite was marked up. The paint separated from the unit at the sides. The inside of the drawers are poorly painted. Customer service is excellent and I have a new top on the way. If I had it to do over, I would not have selected the island. I paid a handyman to assemble it, so it’s too expensive to take it back down and get another one. I’ve seen far cheaper islands from Homcom that are better quality workmanship. Assembly was pretty straight forward. Received the product with the island top corner broken, got in contact with South Shore and they got it replaced within a week. As you may notice in the photos the quality isn’t the best as there are chipped off wood all around. didn’t bother notifying them as I didn’t want to wait. This is a quality piece of furniture! Follow the instructions for assembly & allow two hours. It's a 2 person job...plus at least an hour to unpackage. The granite top is heavy. I ordered the item & easily tracked it to delivery. I paid the up charge to have the delivery guys move it to the exact spot I would be using it. That was worthwhile!! Very impressed with quality!!.
