Unlike other towel bars, the length of the back hooks of this towel bar is increased to 1.45" (37mm), which will effectively prevent the kitchen towel bar from falling off of the cabinet door. In addition, the hooks are only 1.75mm thick, so you don't have to worry about your cupboard doors not closing.

With the contractors help, I decided to stack 2 3"fillers to increase capacity. Also we added a push pop type of door latch which works amazing. Be careful with amount of push needed because there isnt much give. The cheap mechanisms need to be pushed in almost an inch and wouldn't work. Still renovating, but I love this add on!. Kori.
