The overall piece is very nice. My only issue was that the main piece in the packing box had one of the folding interior panels pulled free of the pins that keep it in place. It was quite tricky to get that panel lined up to fit back onto those pins. Once re-attached the assembly went well. Perhaps a better packing solution is needed, or maybe glue those pins right into the folding pieces. The unit looks great with our SONY 55" TV & POLK audio soundbar.. Anonymous. Love this unit. I was apprehensive of ordering a pricy piece of furniture like this without seeing and feeling it in person. However, it was as described and seen on the Wayfair site. Not sure why other people complained about assembly (unless it was due to individual one off defects) because this was the easiest and quickest item I have ever assembled. Hubby and I had it together in no more that 15 minutes and the instructions were easy to follow. We love the look and sturdiness of the unit. My hubby and I usually make our own furniture because we are perfectionists who are usually disappointed with the quality of store bought furniture, and we like furniture made of real wood. However, we were pleasantly surprised with this piece. The only engineered wood is on the back panel. However, the back piece is sturdier than most units I have seen (i.e. some units use a cheep piece of cardboard type material). We also love the rustic look and feel of the unit and appreciate the holes in the back being large enough to fit all the wires with ease (hubby has tons of media and game units=lots of wires). We also love the hight of the unit (higher than many) so the TV does not need to be much higher than the unit to view it if laying down and looking over the coffee table. I hate seeing cords and don’t like when a unit is much lower than the TV. I would have liked the price to be more reasonable but still very happy about the purchase considering we didn’t have the time to make our own unit to match our existing furniture.
