I bought two more of this particular deck box because I already had an identical one which has held up beautifully for the last four years. They are exceptionally well-made, easy to clean, keep moisture, dampness and rodents out, provide a lot of storage, have clean lines and look lovely on the deck. I gave this four stars as the panels came slightly warped which made for a fair bit of wrangling to put together. It took us a full day start at 10 am till night time to put up the shed. 3 people. the instructions were easy to follow. We had issues with the doors. The steel bar on one door was too long and had to be cut. The spacing on the floor for the steel bar did not align. So we had to cut a new hole in the flooring. Overall I'm reasonably happy with the shed, only a 3 star because I did have a few problems though. There was about a 3-4 week delay in delivery and unfortunately some damage from shipping. There was a hole in the box and damage on the bottom side of one floor panel (picture). I didn't want to return it because of the delays already and I used it as is, it doesn't seem like it will be a problem. Assembly was OK, took me a few days with some help. The biggest problem I had was with the fit of the doors. I built a wood base on a gravel bed and all was levelled properly as per the manual. The gable that fits over the door hinges was too narrow (1/2"+) and I had to push the tops of the hinges toward each other to get it to fit. Once I had the shed built both doors hit the top of the frame at the gable and couldn't be closed. I added shims under both front corners of the shed to lower the doors a little. That helped but they still rubbed when I tried to close them individually. The doors themselves also didn't close together because the metal frames actually overlapped each other (again 1/2"+). I managed line them up and push them together to close the doors. I ended up placing 1/8" strips of wood between the doors and at the top of the frame where they were tight for a few days. This seemed to 'reshape' the plastic enough that they close OK now. If I leave the doors open for a few hours they tend to spring back and cause an interference again.. Doug. . 2024-07-04 13:59:47
