I was reading all the reviews before I bought it and was finger-crossed that mine didn't arrive damaged or chipped. However, even though the inside packaging had styrofoam borders around the table boards (great packaging inside by the way), somehow, FedEx or whoever managed the package dented a side slightly (on both top and bottom boards on the same area). Luckily, it's not noticeable unless you're thoroughly inspecting it. There are also the spaces in between the board and the metal like other reviewers have said. You cannot control it as the holes are pre-drilled and you cannot change how it'll fit. BUT, not the end of the world (unless you have OCD for details). The other defect is that there are markings from the machinery press that is a little visually off-putting. Onto the good things! It's the perfect size for a coffee table; enough room for two people eating at the table in front of the TV. Or when I don't have company, one side for my laptop (15" for reference), and one side for my food. It's very easy to assemble. The colour bought is Driftwood. Note that this is not real wood and is laminate wood so in that regard, it's very easy to clean with its smooth surface. Would love if it came with matching baskets/storage containers for the lower shelf. Not bad for $159 CDN + tax (sale) for the overall table! Happy with it :). Jessica.
