The Duangkamol Artisan Collection is brought to you by Bungalow Rose in Association with National Geographics. This beautiful piece was handcrafted by Duangkamol in Thailand. Duangkamol offers the gift of good fortune with a pair of elegant cats. They are crafted by hand with legendary Celadon ceramic techniques featuring a unique green glaze. Known in Japan as Maneki Neko, the bobtail cats holding their left paw are said to attract wealth. According to Feng Shui, the cats should be placed in the wealth area of a house, usually the southeast. About the Artist: Duangkamol; Duangkamol Srisukri is from Bangkok. 'Most of my works are Thai and Chinese reproductions like vases, ginger jars, and figurines,' she says. 'My intention is to maintain the ancient art of celadon and stoneware so that future generations can enjoy these pieces. Together with other artists, they have created beautiful hand-crafted pieces with ornate incisions and bas-relief. Each piece that they make has many storeys to tell. Each piece is individually signed by the artist who has worked on it.
