Ok, to make a long story longer…here we go… I’d been eyeing this sleeper sofa for several months for our new den reno. I really wanted a sofa bed with a memory foam mattress -much more comfortable than coil. Did my research and found out where and how these are made. Most reviews (for the regular sofa) were positive so I decided to order it. But when I selected fabric samples to be mailed to me, Wayfair’s site said they were unavailable. I kept checking back week after week (which the website was instructing me to do) but no luck. Finally, I contacted Wayfair customer service who gave me the manufacturer’s contact info. I had a great experience with them- they were prompt, friendly and super helpful in providing fabric swatches that were shipped directly to my home. But when I finally decided to place the order, after deliberating for weeks on the fabric, to my shock and utter disappointment, the item had disappeared from Wayfair’s website! I again contacted customer service and was told the item was discontinued. I was devastated! Determined to get my sleeper sofa, I decided to get in touch with the customer care person who I had connected with over the swatches and I explained the situation. After a few days she emailed me back apologizing for a weird glitch in their system that had inadvertently removed the sleeper sofa from their online catalogue. She confirmed it was in fact available, not discontinued, and she even thanked me for alerting her to the situation. So finally, after that awesome news and a very helpful interaction with my Wayfair sales rep, I placed the order. The sofa bed arrived this week, three weeks earlier than expected, and just in time for a family visit next weekend! The sleeper sofa looks great, seems much larger in person, and is very comfy to sit on. Haven’t slept on it yet but will update my review when I do. Something to note - like other reviewers mentioned, the back cushions are comprised solely of foam, making them stiff and not so comfy. I’m going to take them to an upholsterer to add a feather/down wrap. Worth the investment. The fabric (Nomad Snow) is a performance chenille. The delivery team left some dirty fingerprints on the slipcover and I was able to remove them pretty easily with bit of dish soap and warm water. Also like others have mentioned, I’ll need to steam the skirt bottom, as wrinkles from delivery have set in. Overall, a loooooooooong but rewarding experience! Whew!
