My husband commented on how much he liked the colors of this comforter. The red is a deep red, leaning toward burgundy, and the tan is more of a taupe. I ordered the queen, but I received the king, and I’m actually glad! The queen may have been too small. The comforter can be positioned either as shown in the picture or turned 90 degrees to have the embroidered stripe create a border near the foot of the bed (see photos).
