I really love the chair, but it was not "hard" to put together, but it was a pain to put together. That tool they give you is a pain to use. If you have a drill, use that. The other thing I do not like are the side pillows fall down a lot, they should of put some Velcro on that part of the cushions too. I think I'll get some velcro and do that myself. SO comfy!! I love these chairs. They are rather large and take up a big footprint but if you have the space you need this chair or 2 of them!
