This is a standard motorized patio retractable awning that includes a pre-installed white powder-coated aluminum protective hood. The awning is heavy-duty, fully assembled, DIY, and hand-crafted. We wanted sometime non-intrusive so as not to interfere with a side window - for this purpose it works well. It will provide sun relief on our sw facing door and rainsnow protection. However, it was a challenge to install because of our uneven brick wall. We had to remove the rubber phalange and even grind down the metal edge to align the awning holes with the bracket holes.
