There are two modes of under cabinet range hood, one is the ducted mode, which can be used by turning the switch inside the hood to ducted mode. In this mode we do not need to install a chimney pipe, the replacement charcoal filter filters the fumes and exhausts the air into the room through the front vent. The other mode is the ductless mode, which requires a switch inside the hood to ductless mode, which requires the installation of a chimney pipe to vent the fumes outside, and the under cabinet range hood has three speeds, low, medium, and high.

Got this for a new Reno to our kitchen…the quality seem very cheap and very thin sheet metal. The fan power seems decent but have not tested it out with our oven yet.
