- Upholstered in soft touch faux leather fabric for a luxurious feel
Lots to say on this loveseat, both good and bad. Let's start with the good.
-I do have a great color eye and did a lot of research before I bought. I wanted something smaller to match my Article "Sven" sofa which is navy leather. It does!! Their loveseat is too big for our space so I went on the search and this one works perfectly. See photo- it's a perfect match.
-It looks great and is comfortable. I prefer a firmer seat and this fits the bill
-Soft leather feel and seems like a thick material
-Heavy and feels sturdy
-The seat cushions are part of the frame so they don't move, which I love. I also love that the back cushions zip into the back of the loveseat so they too don't shift around
The bad:
-This was a total P.I.T.A to put together. My husband and I have built dozens of furniture items, some quite complicated. This was not complicated but it turned out to be extremely frustrating. See photo of back with the seam where the back slots in. We were great (maybe 20 mins) until we got to sliding the back in. There are two brackets on each arm side that are trapazoidal in shape. The back has the same brackets but in opposite positions. So, you're supposed to be able to simply slide the back into those brackets when the arm sides are attached. My uber-strong big husband had tightened the sides as far as they could go and this was still flapping in the wind on one side. In other words, the back is too short in width to fit into the arm sides. It took us more than 45 minutes to get it to fit and be secure. I was so angry, I was about to take it all apart and ship it back. We tried once more and it finally worked. My husband put his full 225 lbs of muscle on one arm (the loveseat was on one arm side standing up) and I pushed with all my 130 lb weight to get the bracket on one side to fit and slot in. Finally, it did. We were both sweating and swearing by the end of it. It seems secure now (we tried pulling it out again and couldn't) and we tighted the bolts underneath one more time as far as they could go. So, I hope it lasts. It won't get heavy use, at all, but I don't want to have to be delicate with it either! So, one star gone for poor back construction. I'm glad I also bought the 5 year protection. I fear we might need it.... Lizzie. Ottawa Ontario. 2025-02-06 08:40:01
