Featuring our “ sits like a sofa and sleeps like a bed “ design, this sofabed is engineered with the objective of providing a comfortable sofa and a supportive bed. As a sofa, the heavily padded backrest and the waterfall seat cushion is the ultimate in comfort. As a bed, the independent left and right birch slat mattress base eliminate that sagging sleep feeling. Complemented with a high resiliency queen size foam mattress, it would not be considered a sofabed but rather a bed. For the ultimate in hygiene, the mattress cover is removable and machine washable. Converting from a sofa to a bed is a matter of tugging on the pull-strap – out tumbles the bed, midway through the conversion, the back rest incorporates a storage area for pillows and a blanket. Converting back from a bed to a sofa is a matter of slightly lifting the bed frame which folds the bed into the sofa. Unlike traditional sofabeds, there is no need to remove and store the seat or back cushions. The extra-wide arms ( 10 inches wide ) doubles as an additional surface to sit on or to put down a book, a tablet or a beverage. This is the ultimate sofa and bed – in comfort and convenience.

The color and texture of the fabric look MUCH better in person. The yellow is much brighter, much closer to canary yellow - excuse the messiness of the setup photo! It was very easy to set up, and seems reasonably sturdy. The only downside is that even though there are 3 positions for the backrest, the mechanism doesn't always want to 'catch' on the middle one.
