I’m an overall fan of the Amaryn platform bed. It has an elegant, yet simple look about it that goes well with many decor styles. We’ve already gotten several compliments on it! I also like how strong it is and that it holds plenty of weight (it’s in our guest room so it’s best to be available to everyone). The bed looks gorgeous when assembled and is a great value for the price. I paid for expert assembly and it was well done. I haven’t used it much as if yet so can’t speak to durability. Exceeded my expectations for the price. King size was a fairly easy assembly, 2 persons under an hr. Delivery was quick regardless of the 2 separate boxes arriving within days of each other. Making this bed is easy, our mattress is a Saatva Firm at 14”. Mattress drops nicely and fills the platform leaving a small gap to tuck sheets. Mattresses nowadays are very heavy but this bed allows picking up the corners without throwing out your back. Bed stays in place with no squeaking or cracking sounds. Ours arrived flawlessy. Solid headboard and frame for good price. Certain holes were not perfectly aligned but able to make it work. Not sure how to alter the tilt of headboard as in description and though it says finished back allows you to place anywhere in room, you can definitely tell it’s a back with the supports mounted there- it is finished though. There are a TON of beds similar to this for much cheaper, but it was nearly half off and several hundred more normally so I went for it. It is someone different than the many industrial look beds out . The mattress shown is 14” thick and not yet expanded. I think there might be a tolerable 1” gap if you got a 12” mattress. It’s really beautiful, all wood, and what one hopes for when getting the cheaper ones, which are fine for dorms. But this thing is really solid and unbelievably heavy. I ordered the queen size in espresso. I was able to build this by myself in under 2 hours. I just put the Golden Girls on the tv and started building! The socket wrench was a blessing. I have a drill but I didn’t need it. The instructions were easy to follow. I took the suggestion of another reviewer and placed the nonskid pads on the legs before assembly. Makes a big difference. I ordered this bed to go with my headboard (also from Wayfair) and it is a perfect color match! However, there are no holes in the bed in order to connect them. No big deal to me, I'll just zip tie them if I have to. So far there have been no issues with sturdiness. The height description is accurate. I wish there had been a 14 inch height option. The top of my mattress sits at about 28 inches from the ground so I feel like I'm a little too high up, but I will get used to it. The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. YES YES YES! This bed is AMAZING! Very high-quality and real wood. The entire frame is made of rubber wood which is a very hard and sturdy wood. I once had a dining room set and coffee table of rubber wood so when I saw this bed I knew it was a must. Other than that, the biggest plus was that it took absolutely zero tools to put it together and it was super super easy. Probably took 15 or 20 minutes and it is possible to do it by yourself. This is a very high-quality bed frame and made extremely well. There are no cheap parts! I like how the wood slats are all connected together and they easily lay from one end of the bed to the other. The three center support legs screwed in very easily and all set perfectly straight. There are also little adjustable feet underneath them in case your floor might be uneven. I also love the shelf behind the headboard. It’s pretty narrow, but it’s solid. I really couldn’t be happier with this bed! I will say though, that the color of the wood in the picture is more yellowish (blonde) than what it looks like when it arrives. The wood actually appears to have a little bit more of an orangey tint to it than it does in the picture. The rubber wood furniture I’ve had in the past looked exactly like the color of the bed in the picture (blonde), so that that’s what I expected. Now that it’s arrived, it’s a little more orangey.. This bed is beautiful and very well made. The oak finish looks warm and rich, and the solid wood legs make it feel sturdy and durable. A decent bed. Sturdy and one of the least expensive options that is made of a natural material.
