With a wood texture, it is waterproof, anti-stain, lightweight, and easy to apply. You don't need to be professional, saving your time and budget. They are sticky, but for the edge, you can use some contact glue on the underlayer to enhance it. Besides flooring, it can be applied to the wall as an accent wall, ceiling, or cabinet by adding extra glue (liquid nail/contact glue).

These look amazing in our laundry room and bathroom that we used them for our basement BUT buyer beware… don’t even bother putting these down without at least few tubes of a strong glue like PL. I did the laundry room first following instructions and 60-80 of the tiles are lifting in one way or another. In out bathroom we PL’d every tile and it looks perfect. You can see in other reviews about lifting, so it’s obviously a known issue. Just use the extra glue and save yourself the headache I’m having, having to go and lift up all the loose edges and stick down. Otherwise the tiles are nice and look great style wise..
