I am absolutely thrilled with this comforter set. I am so pleased with the quality, how soft and light it is, how reasonably priced it was and how versatile it can be. I read all of the reviews and took note of a couple, specifically the ones that referred to the wrinkles from shipping and the one where someone said that it was too small for a king size bed. I think that my pictures speak to both of those "issues" as not being real issues for me. Certainly if you place the comforter with the 90" length across the bed, the overhang on each side of the bed it a little short, but because I am actually using this comforter as a cover with our duvet on top, I was not concerned. I was however pleasantly surprised that by putting the 101" length across the bed there is sufficient overhang to cover the sheets of our king size bed, and the 90" length is certainly long enough lengthwise for our bed. With regard to the wrinkles, this comforter is a great material for steaming them out. I purchased a cheap steamer from an infomercial some years ago and it really comes in handy for lots of bedding and clothing wrinkles. With vacuum packing shipments being a way of the world today, this is something that is worth having around when bedding items are initially purchased and for touchup later on. The pillow shams are more like pillow cases which I prefer in our situation, and the steamer did wonders with them as well.
I played with the comforter with decorator pillows from other beds in the house just to see how it looked before I tucked in the end and put our duvet on top. Your can definitely personalize it with your own choice of pillow choices. This set actually works perfectly in our room without our duvet on top, and possibly I will tuck the duvet away once in awhile for a change. I am currently using the additional small throw provided in another bedroom because our accent colour on the king size bed is navy. It is small and lightweight, and will be great for the grandchildren. I washed it immediately because it shedded little black fluffs on the new comforter when it was initially placed on the bed. It washed up well stopping the shedding, got rid of the wrinkles, it is super soft and cozy, and is a nice bonus that came in the bundle.
Before ordering, I had it down to three comforter choices from Wayfair, and I am certainly glad that some of the lower review ratings did not scare me away from this set. I am sure now that I made the right choice.. Anonymous. . 2025-01-20 17:29:28
