It works, I didnt have a chance to test it in a hot environment yet. However, the quality of assembly is low. Look at the photo, it seems two sides were not aligned properly and they just forced to them to fit. I contacted Wayfair support and this issue was resolved quickly and painlessly. I got a new one. I love the Whynter dual hose portable airconditioners. I have 3 of the same model. They are quiet and cools the rooms pretty quick. The only problem is draining from the lower vent which is way too low and combersum to get the water out but that is not a big issue. I place the A/Cs on a stool for easier draining. The review is not about the performance of the unit. It's about Wayfair's excellent customer service. The AC was delivered in a really shabby condition (i.e., torn box with heavily worn edges and the bottom cut-out as well as accessories taped to the exterior of the box!! The unit was also noisy; a condition I blame on the shocking condition the box arrived in. This being said, I believe that Wayfair was not responsible. It seems to me it was a shipping and Canadian Customs issue (the AC came from California). After discovering the unit had problems, I wrote to Wayfair and told them what happened and provided photo evidence. I received a full refund within the same day. Wow! I have to say that I'm impressed. This is my first experience with Wayfair, and I have to admit when I received the damaged box, I told myself it would be my last. However, the expediency and diligence with which my claim was treated totally changed my opinion. Air Conditioner works just as described, much quieter than the Shinco A/C i had previously. My only issue was with the damage to the packaging the Arc102CS sustained during shipment.
