I have two Silkie hens that usually stay in a heated shed during the cold months. My plan is to use this coop in the heated garage during the winter since temperatures in the Laurentians drop well below freezing. Would I use this coop outdoors year-round? Definitely not. Any number of prey-bound animals can easily access your hens. You'd have to add reinforcements underneath and all around. The material is fairly thin and inexpensive but on the plus side, it was easy to assemble. I recommend it but it depends on where you plan to place it.. Mike.
