The boxes are expensive! I purchased them to match the bench. The boxes have a film of white pesticide coating on the surface of all the panels. The pieces or small wood pieces made into larger pieces and are very rustic looking. The bottom piece is a thin piece of wood unlike the side pieces. For the price, the bottom/base piece should have been the same as the side pieces as well! It requires full assembly! It does not come assembled in any way, even the side metal bars have to be attached to the box once you've screwed in all the nuts and bolts. It looks nice but has a pesticide smell and I am not sure if the white coating will come off after a few wipes? I wiped once and the white coating is still there. :(. Mymi.
