This is a great looking tub for small space. Its small size fits perfectly in my shower. The tub also is on a steel stand so you can level the tub and raise it to allow water to drain in the shower base. In my case I did not have to excavate for drainage as the tub was installed some years after the shower was built. I added rubber pads to stop it slipping. This tub was exactly what we needed for our small bathroom. It is small enough to fit in the corner, but still large enough to sit in for a bath. Even though it is shorter than a typical tub, it is also wider and deeper, which makes it still feel spacious. The drop-in style was a bit tricky to install (no apron, no lip at the wall edge), and it was challenging to get the tile lined up properly. The rubber strip that came with the tub to seal the seam at the wall did not work at all, and the tub was not very level on its own, so we had to use a mortar bed to level the tub, which was also a bit tricky. We are new to home renos, so something easier to install would have been better for us, if we'd had the space. I'm sure a professional contractor, or even someone with more experience, would have less trouble with this tub. We had a very tight space to put in a new tip in our bathroom. 54” was a perfect fit! I still can’t believe this tub was shipped straight to my house for free. Anyways, contractor that put it in said it was a solid tub. Install was only tricky because of the tight space. The depth of the tub makes up for its lack of length. But I think anyone over 6’ will probably find it cramped. At 5’10 in the tallest in the family and it fits me just fine. Our friends are now ordering the same one —- so yeah, we recommend it.. Ryan.
