We recommend cleaning the water dispenser every two weeks. We also sell replacement filters online. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. (3 replacement filters included in the package of the cat fountain). We provide a visible window with LED light for the stainless steel water fountain, and it marked the "MIN" and "1.5L", "MAX" lines in the water tank. Firstly, the pump should be cleaned every 2 weeks; then if the water level in the tank is too low, the water pump still keeps running and is prone to fail. Please add water to the water tank in time.
